Your first major step towards weight loss is to know what success looks like. Specifically, what are your goals, and how will you know you have reached them? What results would you like to see from your weight loss? Would you be happier if you were able to wear smaller clothes? Do you have a specific goal weight in mind? Is your goal to make your body more healthy?
By writing down your weight loss, you are able to keep track of the progress you are making. Analysing the results of your plan helps you make the necessary changes to succeed, so write down what you drink and eat - even snacks and soda pop. When you start keeping a list of everything you eat, it can help you choose healthy food.
You are going to eat sooner or later every day. Do not wait until you are already hungry to decide what food to consume. Get ready in advance. Pack a lunch and carry snacks with you. Can you imagine how much extra money you could have if you stopped going out to eat? Perseverance is the name of the game.
Eating right and keeping up to your regular exercise regimen is the best way to lose weight. Exercising at least 3 times a week is great, while exercising every day is not essential. Friends can support you in a variety of ways. Your friends can help motivate you to lose weight. By having someone you can depend on, you are less likely to quit when your goals seem hopeless. Try calling a friend if you are in need of some additional encouragement. Just hearing their voice should be a reminder of how important it is for you to succeed!
